Dry crackers soak up a warm bath of olive oil, chicken bouillon, garlic powder, dill, and a half teaspoon of turmeric, which gives them their sunny color and a subtle earthy bitterness that balances the salt.

The microwave method is what makes this recipe lightning fast. Two rounds of three minutes with a stir between gives every cracker time to dry out and absorb the flavored oil without scorching.

Directions

Method: Place Oyster Crackers in a large mixing bowl.

In small sauce pan boil Chicken Bouillon in water.

Add other ingredients to sauce pan and simmer for a few minutes.

Pour about ¼ of the liquid over the Oyster Crackers.

Mix.

Repeat.

Place Oyster Crackers in a microwave safe bowl.

Cook in microwave oven on high for 3 minutes.

Remove from oven and stir.

Cook in microwave oven for another 3 minutes.

Allow to sit for 5 minutes before serving.
