Spicy Roasted Chickpeas

Crunchy roasted chickpeas coated in taco seasoning make an addictive high-protein snack. Just 3 ingredients and your oven does all the work.

Three ingredients. That’s it. Chickpeas, egg whites, and a packet of taco seasoning get shaken together and roasted low and slow until they’re crunchy little flavor bombs.

They come out of the oven with a crisp shell and a warm, cumin-forward kick that makes them impossible to stop eating. Think of them as the snack bowl MVP for game day, movie night, or just standing in front of the fridge at 3pm.

High in protein and totally snackable, they store in the fridge so you can grab a handful whenever the craving hits.

Pro Tips

  • Make sure your chickpeas are well-drained and patted dry before coating. Excess moisture is the enemy of crunch.
  • Stir them every 15 to 20 minutes while roasting for even browning on all sides.
  • Swap the taco seasoning for ranch seasoning, everything bagel spice, or smoked paprika and garlic powder to mix things up.
