Corned Beef And Cabbage

A succulent corned beef dish that will have you hooked just by making it! Tastes great with rice, noodles or mashed potatoes.

Ingredients

2 each onions sliced
2 1/2 pounds corned beef brisket
1 cup apple juice
1/4 cup brown sugar packed
2 teaspoons orange zest finely shredded
2 teaspoons prepared mustard prepared
6 each cloves whole
6 each cabbage wedges

Directions

Place onions in crockpot. Trim away any fat that might be present on the brisket. If needed, cut brisket to fit into crockpot; place on top of onions. In a bowl, combine apple juice, sugar, orange peel, mustard, and cloves; pour over brisket. Place cabbage on top of brisket. Cover; cook on low setting for 10 to 12 hours or high setting for 5 - 6 hours.

Chicken and Pasta Salad

This recipe is advertised at "2" servings. I made enough (I thought) for 3 following the recipe. The quantity is more for 6 servings. Also, I poured the dressing over all approximately 2 hours before serving, added about 3/4 cup chopped basil & parsley. Served with garlic bread.
