Lily Cookies

Ingredients

4 1/2 ounces cream cheese
1 cup butter or shortening
2 cups flour, all-purpose

Directions

Cream butter and cheese and add flour.

Mix well. Roll out to 1/4 inch thickness.

Cut with 22 inch round cutter. Roll into cornucopia by bringing 2 rounded edges together and overlapping.

Press edges gently to shape like a lily.

Fill open part with jelly or jam.

Bake at 375 degrees F. about 15 minutes. Cook and drench with powdered sugar.

Slippery Sam's Cowboy Chili

This chili supprised me. I lived in south Texas for 30 years and thought I had learned from the best. Slippery Sam turned out really good. I did doctor it up a tad, w/ twice the peppers and more garlic. It will be even better the second warming.
