55 minTacoritos are like enchiladas met burritos and had the best baby. Brown ground beef with chili powder, garlic, and onions, then make a quick white sauce spiked with sage, oregano, cumin, and mild green chiles. Most of the sauce and cheese mix with the meat, lettuce, and tomatoes for the filling.
Roll everything into flour tortillas, place seam-side down in a baking dish, and top with the reserved sauce and cheese. Fifteen minutes in the oven and they’re bubbling and golden.
Kitchen Tips
- Seam side down: Place tortillas seam-side down so they don’t unroll during baking
- Don’t overfill: Use moderate amounts of filling so tortillas roll easily without bursting
- Cover with foil: Covering during baking keeps tortillas soft and prevents cheese from burning
