Honey Merry Christmas Cookies

Ingredients

1/3	cup	vegetable shortening
1	each	egg
1	teaspoon	lemon extract
1	teaspoon	baking soda
1/3	cup	sugar
2/3	cups	honey
2 3/4	cups	flour, all-purpose
1	teaspoon	salt

Directions

Mix ingredients. Chill dough 2-3 hours. Roll out dough and cut. Sprinkle with colored sugar. Bake at 375 degrees for 8-10 minutes.

Beaujolais Buttermilk Coffee Cake

I have been making this recipe for years, using sliced almonds in place of the walnuts. This was originally from the Cafe Beaujolias in Mendocino, CA back in the 70's. Fantastic!
