60 minWing night doesn’t need to be complicated.
These start with a quick bake to render the fat and get the skin going, then get brushed with a simple stovetop sauce that caramelizes into a sticky, tangy-sweet glaze as they finish in the oven.
The sauce is dead simple: ketchup, vinegar, sugar, and water. That’s it. Four pantry staples that come together in minutes.
They come out glazed, tender, and with just enough tang to keep you reaching for one more.
Pro Tips
- Use a shallow baking dish so the wings sit in a single layer. Crowded wings steam instead of roasting, and you’ll lose that crispy skin.
- Brush the sauce on generously and don’t be afraid to go back for a second coat halfway through the final bake.
- Want them crispier? Hit the broiler for 2 to 3 minutes at the very end to caramelize the glaze and add some char.
- Double the sauce if you want extra for dipping on the side. It keeps in the fridge for a week.
