This no-bake Jello pie is about as easy as dessert gets. Flavored gelatin gets dissolved in boiling water, thickened fast with ice cubes, then folded into whipped topping with your favorite fruit. Spoon it into a crust and chill. Done.

The ice cube trick is what makes this so quick. Instead of waiting hours for the Jello to set in the fridge, stirring in ice cubes brings it to a thick, spoonable consistency in just a few minutes. Remove any unmelted pieces and you’re ready to fold.

Whipping the topping into the partially set Jello creates a mousse-like filling that’s light and airy rather than dense and rubbery. It sets up soft enough to slice cleanly but firm enough to hold its shape on a plate.

Pro Tips

  • Match your Jello flavor to your fruit. Strawberry Jello with fresh strawberries, raspberry with raspberries. Mismatched flavors taste muddled.

Directions

Prepare topping mix as per package instructions.

Add ice cubes and stir until jello starts to thicken (2-3 minutes). Remove unmelted ice.

Add topping to and whip until well blended.

Fold into fruit.

Spoon into prepared pie shell.

(Graham cracker crumb shell is very good).

Garnish with extra fruit.
