Whole wheat flour, bacon drippings, shredded cheese, and egg come together into a simple dough that gets rolled thick, cut into bone shapes, and baked until golden.
The kitchen will smell like bacon and cheese, which means your dog will be parked at the oven door the entire time.
Made in 30 minutes with pantry staples.
Pro Tips
- Add the milk gradually since you may not need the full cup; the dough should be firm enough to roll without sticking
- Roll the dough thick (about 1 inch) for chunky biscuits that give your dog something satisfying to chew
- Cool completely before serving so they firm up and get that crunchy texture dogs love
- Store in an airtight container for up to two weeks, or freeze for longer shelf life
