When you want something that feels festive but takes almost zero effort, this is your recipe.

Boneless chicken breasts get piled high with a tart-sweet cranberry and apple mixture, crunchy walnuts adding texture in every forkful.

After a quick bake, a blanket of melted Monterey Jack goes on top, turning bubbly and golden in just five more minutes.

The cranberries soften and release their juices as they cook, creating a built-in sauce that makes the whole dish sing.

Pro Tips

  • Pound the chicken breasts to an even half-inch thickness so they cook at the same rate and stay juicy
  • Use tart, firm apples like Granny Smith so they hold their shape during baking
  • This pairs beautifully with wild rice or roasted sweet potatoes for a complete fall dinner
