This is the bread you make on repeat. Whole wheat flour, bran, honey, applesauce, and sunflower seeds go into the bread machine, you press start, and an hour later you’ve got a warm, nutty loaf with a hint of sweetness.

The applesauce is a clever move. It adds moisture and a touch of natural sweetness without any extra fat. Combined with honey, it gives the bread a soft crumb that’s still hearty enough to hold up to sandwiches.
