Soft, rich bread machine loaf made with a full cup of cream cheese for an incredibly tender crumb. Toss in chocolate chips or raisins at the beep for extras.

Throw this in your bread machine and walk away. That’s the whole vibe.

A full cup of cream cheese goes right into the dough, giving this loaf a pillowy, tender crumb with a subtle tang you won’t find in regular white bread.

The light crust setting keeps things soft and golden instead of tough and dark.

Want to get fancy? Add chocolate chips, raisins, or dried cranberries when the machine beeps for mix-ins.

Kitchen Tips

  • Cube the cream cheese before adding it to the bread pan. Smaller pieces incorporate faster and you won’t end up with pockets of unblended cheese.
  • Use the light crust setting. The cream cheese and sugar in this dough brown quickly, and a standard crust setting can push it past golden into burnt territory.
  • Let the loaf cool before slicing. Fresh bread machine loaves are soft and will compress if you cut too early. Give it at least 15 minutes on a wire rack.
