55 minQuail wrapped in smoky bacon and roasted to tender perfection gets an extra layer of flavor from a glossy apricot glaze.
The fruit’s natural sweetness balances the rich, savory meat while the bacon crisps up beautifully in the oven.
This elegant dish looks fancy enough for company but comes together in about an hour, making it a smart choice for special occasions when you want to impress without stress.
Chef Tips
- Arrange the quail at least 1 inch apart on the rack to ensure even browning and crispy bacon
- Brush the glaze on during the final 15-20 minutes only to prevent burning
- Let the quail rest for 5 minutes before serving to allow juices to redistribute
