10 minTen minutes. That’s all it takes to whip up this rich, crowd-pleasing dip that tastes like you spent way longer on it.
Cream cheese gets blended smooth with softened butter and French dressing, then folded together with minced clams and flaked crab meat. A dash of Tabasco wakes everything up.
Spread it on melba toast rounds, give them a quick blast in the microwave to warm through, and watch them vanish from the plate.
Pro Tips
- Drain the clams and crab thoroughly. Any extra liquid will make the dip watery instead of thick and spreadable.
- Adjust the Tabasco to your crowd. Start with a few drops and taste. The heat should be a background tingle, not a five-alarm fire.
- Make it ahead and refrigerate. The flavors actually improve after a few hours in the fridge. Just spread on toast and warm when guests arrive.
