Impossible French Apple Pie

Ingredients

6 cups apples sliced, pared
2 tablespoons margarine or butter,softened
1 1/4 teaspoons cinnamon
2 large eggs
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1 cup sugar
3/4 cup milk
1/2 cup biscuit baking mix (bisquick)
Streusel
1 cup biscuit baking mix (bisquick)
1/3 cups brown sugar packed
1/2 cup nuts
3 tablespoons margarine or butter, firm

Directions

Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.

Grease pie plate, 10 ;x1 1/2 inch.

Mix apples and spices; turn into plate.

Beat remaining ingredients except for Streusel till smooth; 15 seconds in blender or 1 minute with hand beater.

Pour into plate.

Sprinkle with Streusel.

Bake till knife inserted in centre comes out clean, 55-65 minutes; cool.

STREUSEL: Mix 1 cup Bisquick, 1/2 cup chopped nuts, 1/3 cup packed brown sugar and 3 Tbsp firm margarine or butter till crumbly.

Rice-Stuffed Cornish Hens

This was an interesting mix of flavors, but it lacked pizzazz. It also took 2 hours to fully cook. Nice presentation but we thought a whole bird was too much for one person.
