With nearly 100 reviews, this pie has earned its reputation as one of those recipes people make once and then never stop making.

Cream cheese beaten with powdered sugar and folded into whipped topping creates a thick, sweet, tangy filling. Sliced bananas line the bottom of two prepared pie shells, the cream cheese mixture goes in next, and a can of blueberry pie filling blankets the top in glossy purple.

Fifteen minutes of work, no oven, and you walk into any potluck or cookout like a hero. It’s sweet, it’s ridiculous, and it vanishes from the table every single time.

Kitchen Tips

  • Let the cream cheese soften completely at room temperature so it blends smooth with no lumps
  • Slice the bananas right before assembling so they don’t brown
  • Chill the pies for at least an hour before serving for the cleanest slices
  • Swap the blueberry filling for cherry or strawberry pie filling for a totally different look

This was a favorite of a neighborhood friend named Lisa who moved away. Her mom would make this for her birthday and I never knew other than bananas and blue berries. So glad to find it!
