Ingredients

1 cup sugar granulated
1 cup brown sugar firmly packed
1 cup butter softened
2 large eggs
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
2 cups flour, all-purpose
1 1/2 cups oats, quick cooking
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups chocolate candies
1 cup peanuts, salted coarsely chopped

Directions

Combine granulated and brown sugars, butter, eggs and vanilla in a large mixing bowl.

Beat with an electric mixer at medium speed, scraping the sides of the bowl often, until light and fluffy, about 2 to 3 minutes.

Add flour, oats, baking soda and salt.

Beat at low speed, scraping sides of bowl often, until well-mixed, about 2 to 3 minutes.

By hand, stir in candy and peanuts.

Drop dough by scant 1/4-cupfuls 2 inches apart onto greased cookie sheets.

Bake in a preheated 350-degree F oven until light golden brown, about 14 to 18 minutes.
