Mom's Pumpkin Cookies

Ingredients

3 cups pumpkin
1 cup vegetable shortening
2 cups sugar white
4 cups flour, all-purpose
2 teaspoons baking soda
2 teaspoons salt
2 teaspoons baking powder
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 large eggs
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1 bag chocolate chips (large)
1 Jar maraschino cherries chopped

Directions

Cream together pumpkin, shortening, white sugar.

Then add and mix flour, soda, salt, baking powder.

Then add and mix vanilla, eggs, cinnamon.

Then add and mix chocolate chips, cherries, nuts.

Drop by spoonful on greased cookie sheets.

Bake 12 - 14 minutes at 375F.
