Low Fat Spice CookiesAn easy recipe that creates scrumptious cookies just in time for Christmas.
Ingredients
DirectionsPreheat oven to 350 degrees. Prepare baking sheets with cooking spray. In a mixing bowl, combine flours, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, cloves, baking soda, and salt. In another mixing bowl, combine margarine, spread, brown sugar, egg white, vanilla, and sour cream. Add dry ingredients with wet ingredients just until moistened. Cover and chill overnight. On a heavily floured surface (dough will be slightly sticky that's why more flour is needed), roll dough 1/8 inch thickness. Using a 2 1/2 inch cutters, cut dough into desired shapes. Arrange 1 inch apart on prepared baking sheet. Bake for 15 minutes and lightly browned. If desired, decorate cookies with Powdered Sugar Icing. Member ReviewWreath Cookies These are great, and easy - just be sure NEVER double your batch if you have to make a lot: the corn flakes will get soggy and the "batter" hard to handle!! (I found out the hard way!) Great treats, tho, and fun for kids to make, too!! |
