Hearty Apple Cookies

Ingredients

Cookies
1 1/3 cups brown sugar frimly packed
1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
1 each egg
1 cup apple peeled, finely chopped
1/4 cup apple juice
2 cups whole wheat flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup raisins, seedless
1 cup nuts chopped
Topping
3/4 cup rolled oats
3/4 cup brown sugar firmly packed
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/3 cup butter or margarine, melted

Directions

Heat oven to 375 F.

Grease cookie sheets. In large bowl, beat 1-1/3 cups brown sugar and 1/2 cup margarine until light and fluffy.

Add egg; blend well.

Beat in apple and apple juice. Lightly spoon flour into measuring cup; level off.

Add flour, baking soda, 1 teaspoon cinnamon and salt; mix well.

Stir in raisins and nuts.

In shallow bowl, combine rolled oats, 3/4 cup brown sugar and 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon.

Add 1/3 cup margarine, stir until particles are moistened.

Drop cookie dough by heaping teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart onto greased cookie sheets.

Top each with 1/2 teaspoon topping.

Bake at 375 F for 8-12 minutes or until edges are golden brown.

Cool 1 minute; remove from cookie sheets.

4 dozen cookies.

Curried Venison

Scrumptious. Used this recipe for chicken breast cut up as well. Awesome.No need to wait an hour, just keep going til it's at simmer,include the browned meat,and when fork tender add the flour mixture and yolk at the end and cook a few min. more to thicken and cook flour. Bellisimo !!
