Cocoa Drop Cookies

Ingredients

1 cup sugar
2/3 cup margarine or butter, softened
1 each egg
1/2 cup cocoa powder
1/3 cup buttermilk milk or water
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 3/4 cups whole wheat flour all-purpose, or whole wheat flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup nuts chopped, if desired
1 each chocolate frosting
2 ounces chocolate unsweetened
2 tablespoons margarine or butter
3 tablespoons water
2 cups powdered sugar
1 x baking soda
1 x salt

Directions

Heat oven to 400 degrees.

Mix, sugar, margarine, egg, cocoa, buttermilk and vanilla.

Stir in flour, baking soda, salt and nuts. Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls about 2 inches apart into ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until almost no indentation remains when touched; cool.

Frost with Chocolate Frosting.

CHOCOLATE FROSTING Heat chocolate and margarine over low heat until melted.

Remove from heat. Stir in water and powdered sugar until smooth.
