Chocolate Pound Cake

Ingredients

1 cup butter or margarine, softened
1/2 cup vegetable shortening
3 cups sugar
5 large eggs
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
3 cups flour, all-purpose sifted
1/2 cup cocoa powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 cup milk

Directions

Preheat oven to 325.

Grease and flour a 10-inch tube pan.

Cream butter, shortening, and sugar together in mixing bowl until light and fluffy.

Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.

Blend in vanilla.

Sift flour, cocoa, salt, and baking powder together; add to creamed mixture alternately with milk, beginning and ending with flour mixture.

Mix well after each addition.

Spoon batter into prepared pan.

Bake for 1 hour and 30 minutes or until toothpick inserted one inch from edge comes out clean.

Cool in pan for 10 minutes; turn out onto wire rack and cool completely.

Chicken Paprikash

My whole family loved this dish. It is easy to make and if you use low fat sour cream it makes it a low cal dinner. It tasted a lot like beef stroganoff but with chicken. I recommend it highly.
