If you’ve ever wanted that fast-food fried chicken crunch without the deep fryer mess, this is your move.

Self-rising flour teams up with paprika, Italian dressing mix, and tomato soup mix for a coating that’s savory, a little tangy, and packed with flavor. Shake your chicken pieces in the bag, lay them over melted butter in a pan, and let the oven do the heavy lifting.

The butter crisps the bottom while the seasoned flour sets up into a golden crust on top. Simple, satisfying, and your kitchen stays clean.

Kitchen Tips

  • Pat the chicken dry before coating so the flour sticks better and crisps up nicely
  • Don’t skip the butter in the pan; it’s what gives the bottom that irresistible golden crunch
  • Use bone-in, skin-on pieces for the juiciest results
