Ingredients

| 1 | pound | beef round steak | cubed |
| 2 | tablespoons | vegetable oil | |
| 1 | cup | water | |
| 1 | each | bay leaf | |
| 1 | teaspoon | salt | |
| 1/4 | teaspoon | red pepper flakes | to taste |
| 16 | ounces | kidney beans | canned, drained |
| 1 | cup | rice | raw |
| 2 | medium | green bell pepper | chopped |
| 1 | medium | onion | chopped |
| 1 1/2 | teaspoons | salt | |
| 1 | teaspoon | curry powder | |
| 1/4 | teaspoon | black pepper | |
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.Brown beef in oil in skillet.
Add water, bay leaf, salt and red pepper.
Cover and simmer for 45 minutes.
Drain beef, reserving broth.
Add enough water to make 2 cups liquid and pour all
ingredients into 2 quart casserole dish, cover and bake in oven
for 50 minutes.
