Bacon-studded beef burgers broiled with tomato, zucchini, a creamy mayo topping, and a Parmesan finish. A loaded, open-faced burger inspired by classic Chicken Divan flavors.

Crispy bacon gets crumbled right into the ground beef along with Worcestershire, dry mustard, and oregano before the patties hit the broiler.
Once they’re cooked, each burger gets topped with a thick tomato slice, thin rounds of zucchini, a dollop of creamy mayo, and a shower of grated Parmesan. One more minute under the broiler and everything melds together into something truly special.
The “Divan” treatment (that creamy, broiled topping) turns an everyday burger into something you’d order at a gastropub.
Chef Tips
- Cook the bacon until it’s truly crisp so it stays crunchy inside the patty. Chewy bacon will create an odd texture.
- Slice the zucchini as thin as possible. It only gets about a minute under the broiler, so thick slices will stay raw.
- Watch the final broil closely. The mayo and Parmesan go from golden to burnt in seconds.
