Falafel(Chickpea Burger)

Ingredients

1/2 pound chickpeas (garbanzo beans)
1 tablespoon cilantro chopped
1 tablespoon parsley leaves chopped
4 each scallions, spring or green onions chopped
2 cloves garlic minced
1 teaspoon cumin
1 pinch baking soda

Directions

Rinse dried beans under running water; place in the slow cooker and cover with water (at least 2 inches over top of beans) Cook on low for 8 to 10 hours.

Pour off water; rinse under cold water and allow to drain.

Place cooked beans in a food processor.

Combine together to form patties and fry.
