Vanilla Popcorn

Ingredients

1/4 cup corn oil
1 Split vanilla bean
3/4 cup popping corn
1 tablespoon sugar use super fine sugar if possible
1 x salt to taste
2 tablespoons butter melted

Directions

In a large heavy pot, heat corn oil over high heat until the oil smokes.

Add 1 kernel popping corn and heat until kernel pops.

Add vanilla bean and rest of popping corn, cover pot, and shake gently until corn starts to pop.

Shake vigorously until popping subsides.

Remove from heat.

Remove vanilla bean and toss popcorn with sugar, salt, and melted butter.

Scrape seeds from vanilla bean and add to popcorn.

Never Fail Pie Crust

This is a fabulous recipe ! I ignored it for several years, because I came from the background that you should never make a pie crust unless all of your ingredients were ice cold...Crisco recommends making this at room temperature, and Lo and Behold... The flakiest pie crust I have EVER made!
