15 minSuzy was onto something here. Why slave over shortcake biscuits when angel food cake, a box of vanilla pudding, and a tub of whipped topping can get you to dessert in 15 minutes?
The pudding soaks into the airy cake and creates a custardy layer that holds the berries in place. Pile most of the strawberries on top, fold the rest into the whipped topping, and blanket the whole thing.
It’s the kind of dessert that looks like you tried way harder than you actually did. Keep that secret to yourself.
Variations
- Blueberry version: Swap strawberries for blueberries and use lemon pudding instead of vanilla for a bright, tangy twist.
- Mixed berry: Use a combination of strawberries, raspberries, and blackberries for a summer berry medley.
