55 minThis retro wonder starts as a jumbled bowl of tuna, cheese, and veggies, but the Bisquick batter settles to the bottom during baking to create its own tender crust.
Fresh lemon zest and juice brighten the whole situation while garlic adds savory depth, and celery brings satisfying crunch to every forkful.
Two full cups of sharp cheddar melt throughout, binding everything into a cross between quiche and pot pie without any of the fussy pastry work.
Serve it with lemon wedges for an extra citrus punch that makes this comforting classic feel fresh and modern.
Kitchen Tips
- Use sharp or extra-sharp cheddar for maximum flavor since the cheese is a star ingredient
- Drain the tuna thoroughly by pressing it in a fine-mesh strainer to prevent a watery pie
- Let it cool the full 5 minutes before slicing so the center sets up properly
