Honey Whole Wheat Bread

A sweet and tasty bread that can be served plain or toasted with your favorite jam.

Ingredients

3 1/2 tablespoons butter or margarine
3 1/2 tablespoons honey
2 tablespoons wheat germ
1 cup water
1 each egg extra-large
1 1/4 cup whole wheat flour
2 cups flour, unbleached all-purpose
1 1/2 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon oats, steel-cut
2 tablespoons buttermilk, powdered
2 teaspoons yeast, active dry

Directions

Place all ingredients in the machine in order suggested by manufacturer and program for basic bread.
